Using Google alerts for effective monitoring

When you are first getting your feet wet with social networking, it is important to monitor what is being said about your business or industry and where it is being said.   There is a wonderful tool that is very simple and easy to use that can provide so much insightful data.    I have created this video to illustrate how this is done –

Just to recap the video, using google alerts is helpful to

1. Monitor what is being said about your business, your company and where it is being said.

2. Monitor what is going on with your industry as a whole

3. Monitor what is happening geographically around your business

4.  Doing some legwork with a prospect by monitoring all the latest news on a prospect that you would like to do business with.


Set some google alerts up and be prepared !
